Mehrdad Elmieh BSc. MCSP, MBRA

Mehrdad qualified as a remedial massage therapist in 1998 and continued his training at the Northern College of Physical Therapies. He obtained his Higher Diploma in Manipulative Therapies in year 2000. He has been a Chartered and HPC registered Physiotherapist since 2005. With an original degree and successful career in the Construction and Mechanical Engineering profession, Mehrdad created a solid foundation for his understanding of the biomechanics of the human body. Transferring these skills to the Physiotherapy profession to understand the complexities of human movement has been a natural growth and progression of this interest.
Mehrdad continuously seeks to update his knowledge relating to physiotherapy and is currently completing the dissertation module for his Master of Science degree in Musculoskeletal Manual Therapy (Advanced Physiotherapy).

In 2006 he also carried out his acupuncture training with the British Medical Acupuncture Society and regularly utilises acupuncture techniques to enhance traditional physiotherapy treatment modalities. Mehrdad treats musculoskeletal disorders using either a hands on approach to physiotherapy alone or using an integrated approach, combining both physiotherapy and acupuncture. Blending a variety of treatment modalities gives the practitioner more "tools" in the tool kit box and enables him to select the right combination for your particular condition. Treatments are therefore tailored to your individual requirements at each stage of your healing without having to see a variety of therapists.

Mehrdad's enthusiasm for acquiring new skills to benefit his patients alongside his experience of treating a broad range of conditions has enabled him to develop a reputation for being an effective specialist level physiotherapist.
His expertise has been recognised by various educational institutions who regularly invite him to deliver a variety of lectures and practical workshops to fellow physiotherapists and therapy students.

A keen sportsman and triathlete, Mehrdad uses his personal experience of training for his numerous Ironman and Marathon events to benefit his patients with sports related injuries. He has gained a reputation for treating many sports related conditions in addition to the usual cases of aches, pains and ailments seen within the general population.

Cheryl Mason MSc BSc RGN RM MBAcC

Cheryl offers a range of complementary therapies and has extensive experience in nursing, midwifery and pain management teams within the NHS. Cheryl gained her Masters in Acupuncture in the UK followed by further training in China. She is also qualified in other complementary therapies and often treatments involve a blend of Acupuncture, Hypnosis and Therapeutic Massage / Body work techniques to suit the needs of the individual. She has trained with the famous Zita West National Network for Reproductive Health and the Hypno-Fertility® Foundation and often uses both acupuncture and hypnosis in Fertility treatments.

As part of her interest in pregnancy and childbirth, she also teaches Hypno-Birthing® and Acupressure Massage / Active Birth Workshops to women and their birth partners to facilitate an easier and more enjoyable experience of childbirth.
